Guest Soloists

In most concerts, the orchestra will engage a guest soloist to perform a concerto or other work for soloist and orchestra. Often, our soloists will be of international fame and sometimes they might be up-and-coming young musicians in the early stages of their performing careers.

Some of the more renowned soloists who have played with us include the following distinguished musicians: violinists Wanda Wilkamirska, Natsuko Yoshimoto, James Cuddeford and Maria Lindsay; cellists David Pereira and Georg Pedersen; and pianists  Simon Tedeschi, Evgeny Ukhanov, Rachel Valler and Roy Howat.

On occasion we join forces with a choir, most notably in 2006 when we performed with the Girton College Chapel Choir (pictured) from Cambridge University who were on a world tour.
